An 18-year-old individual has confessed to hurling a bottle at law enforcement officers during a protest in Southampton linked to the Henry Nowak case, which escalated into violence. As a result, the teenager has been prohibited from participating in gatherings.

Callum Cool, who was 17 at the time of the June 2 event, admitted to charges of violent disorder during a court session at Southampton Magistrates’ Court.

Under the supervision of District Judge Robinson, Cool will be wearing an electronic tag with a curfew at his residence and is forbidden from attending any protests or gatherings exceeding ten people.

Residing at Robinia Green, Southampton, the teenager was granted conditional bail and is scheduled to appear at Southampton Crown Court for sentencing on June 29.

Judge Robinson informed Cool that his case would be scheduled for sentencing at Southampton Crown Court, emphasizing the importance of his presence on June 29 to avoid further legal consequences.

The protest on June 2 attracted around 1,000 individuals outside Southampton Central Police Station, followed by a move to the Portswood area where the unrest occurred, related to the death of Mr. Nowak.

Cool becomes the 23rd person charged in connection with the protest, with 13 individuals already serving jail time.

The demonstration was ignited by police body-worn footage depicting the moments leading to Mr. Nowak’s unconsciousness and subsequent demise after being handcuffed.

Vickrum Digwa, 23, a resident of a nearby street, was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 21 years for Mr. Nowak’s murder.
