An elderly woman sustained severe head injuries after being attacked by a dog in Preston. Police took a man into custody and confiscated two dogs linked to the incident on Lily Grove at approximately 3:55 PM on Saturday.
Law enforcement responded to the scene, where they found the woman with significant bite wounds to her head. She was promptly transported to the hospital for medical care. Lancashire Police confirmed the seizure of the two dogs involved and established a police cordon for investigations, according to Lancashire Live.
Following the event, a 42-year-old man was apprehended under suspicion of allowing a dog to be dangerously out of control. He was held in police custody as inquiries progressed into the matter.
