Sky subscribers are in for a change as the company merges Sky Cinema Animation (channel 312) with Sky Cinema Family on April 30. This move aims to streamline services by consolidating family-friendly films into a single destination on channel 304. Popular titles like the Shrek series, The Secret Life of Pets, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will now be available in one place.

While the standalone Sky Cinema Animation channel will no longer exist, it will make a temporary return during school holiday periods from July 24 to August 30, October 23 to November 1, and December 1 to January 5. In other news, Sky has ventured into the home security market by introducing new smart devices. Customers can now opt for a Sky Smart Doorbell and Chime for £5 a month plus a £15 upfront cost, offering features like full HD video recording and two-way audio.

For enhanced functionality, Sky also offers a Smart Home Bundle with Smart Home Plan+ for £8 monthly and a £20 upfront fee. This package includes an indoor camera and additional app controls for added convenience. Paul Sweeney, Managing Director of Sky Smart Home, emphasized the company’s commitment to providing accessible premium smart technology that is user-friendly, manageable, and cost-effective.
