Russian Armed Forces have initiated a three-day nuclear weapons exercise in Belarus amidst concerns of a potential incursion into Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania attributed to Putin’s alleged intentions. The maneuvers, happening in Belarus until Thursday, involve over 64,000 military personnel and more than 7,800 units of equipment. Restrictions have been imposed on Belarusian citizens, prohibiting access to forests near the borders with Lithuania, Poland, and Ukraine during the drills.
Volya, a war monitoring channel, has raised alarm about misinformation indicating that Russian President Vladimir Putin might be planning an offensive in Ukraine’s Donbas region. Contrary to this, there are reports suggesting a possible limited invasion of the Baltic states – Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania. Such a move would pose a significant challenge to NATO.
According to Volya, signals pointing in this direction have been intensifying, with sources within the Russian Ministry of Defence hinting at the advancement of Putin’s plans to invade the Baltic states. The objective appears to be causing a crisis within the NATO alliance by invading Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania, potentially leading to its fragmentation.
Furthermore, reports from the channel’s sources indicate that Putin is clandestinely amassing a large number of “unkillable” fibre-optic drones, possibly for a future assault on NATO.
