Police have unveiled fresh surveillance footage in their search for a suspect linked to a severe assault that left a man in critical condition following a stabbing incident on a pathway within Stafford’s golf course vicinity.
The victim, a man in his 60s, is currently in a critical state at the hospital after the attack occurred on Newport Road around 7 pm on Thursday, May 14. Investigators suspect that he was ambushed from behind while traversing the Castlefields area, resulting in serious injuries.
The newly released CCTV footage from the Castlefields area captures the man’s actions post the assault, showing him fleeing the scene. Authorities are urging anyone who recognizes the individual or witnessed his movements that evening to come forward promptly.
