An Iranian ballistic missile was fired towards a Kuwaiti air base, causing injuries to several Americans due to falling debris. The attack reportedly caused significant damage to two US MQ-9 Reaper drones stationed at the Ali Al Salem air base, as per a source familiar with the incident cited by Bloomberg.

Although Kuwait’s air defenses intercepted the Fateh-110 missile, debris from the interception hit the base, resulting in approximately five individuals sustaining minor injuries, including contractors and active duty personnel. One MQ-9 Reaper was destroyed, and another suffered serious damage, with each drone estimated to cost around $30 million.

Meanwhile, tensions escalate as the US signals readiness to resume hostilities with Iran if a peace agreement cannot be reached. Negotiations between Washington and Tehran hit a stalemate after a failed meeting on Friday, with President Trump indicating a potential decision to restart conflict. Iranian officials criticized the US negotiating team, accusing them of inconsistency and lacking professionalism.

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth affirmed the military’s preparedness to engage in conflict if needed, stating that the US possesses adequate resources globally for such scenarios. Hegseth emphasized the military’s readiness and stockpiles to handle any potential escalation effectively.
