Prince William carries out his royal responsibilities by traveling within the UK and abroad for official duties, engaging with people, supporting charities, and actively involving himself in various tasks.

Upon becoming the Prince of Wales following his father King Charles’s reign, Prince William inherited the Duchy of Cornwall, an extensive estate that generates a private income of about £23 million annually for the heir to the throne.

In an interview with The Telegraph, it was disclosed that Prince William regularly visits different parts of the Duchy every four to six weeks, interacting with families and staff, seeking opportunities to provide assistance.

Despite these visits being discreet and rarely publicized, Prince William remains dedicated to managing the Duchy of Cornwall, a property empire valued at over £1 billion, consisting of land, properties, and agricultural assets mainly located in southwest England.

Recent reports suggest that Prince William intends to sell 20% of the Duchy’s portfolio over the next decade to address housing and environmental challenges. This strategic move aims to concentrate the Duchy’s resources on key geographic areas like the Isles of Scilly, Cornwall, Dartmoor, the Bath region, and Kennington in south London.

Will Bax, the Duchy of Cornwall’s chief executive, emphasized Prince William’s vision of utilizing the proceeds from land sales to invest £500 million in critical priorities, emphasizing the need to create a positive impact on society and the environment.

Prince William’s proactive approach includes modernizing the Duchy while preserving its historical significance and community ties. His commitment to enhancing the Duchy’s role beyond traditional land ownership reflects his aspiration to support positive social and environmental changes.
