A former royal assistant who worked closely with Prince William and Prince Harry has shared insights on the possibility of reconciliation between the feuding siblings.

Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, who served as the principal private secretary to the princes from 2005 to 2013, developed a strong bond with both royals during their early 20s. He played a significant role in guiding them through their military careers, with Prince William even appointing him as one of Prince George’s godparents.

Despite Lowther-Pinkerton’s past association with the princes, they have since become estranged, reportedly not communicating since the passing of their grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, nearly four years ago.

In an interview with The Times, the former aide, now an author, was cautious when asked about the potential for reconciliation between the brothers. He expressed his admiration for Prince Harry but refrained from delving into specifics, emphasizing his positive outlook on the situation.

Lowther-Pinkerton also highlighted the contrasting personalities of the princes, referring to William as the ‘Lion King’ and Harry as a ‘mischievous cub,’ stating his affection for both.

Recent reports suggest that Harry and Meghan may encounter King Charles, with whom Harry has had a strained relationship, during their upcoming visit to the UK. Although accommodations at Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle have been offered to the Sussexes, they have not yet confirmed their plans.

The couple’s children, Archie and Lilibet, last met their grandfather Charles at Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022. Meghan, who has not visited the UK since the Queen’s funeral, may join Harry at the Invictus event in Birmingham, where he is scheduled for engagements with various UK charities.

Amidst ongoing tension within the royal family, sources close to Prince William have refuted claims made by Harry and Meghan, including allegations of racism and mistreatment. Harry’s upcoming memoir, Spare, is expected to further detail his strained relationships within the royal family.

As interactions between the Sussexes and other royals remain uncertain, speculation continues regarding potential meetings and attempts at reconciliation.
