Holidaymakers at Tenerife South airport will soon have the opportunity to purchase Greggs’ popular sausage rolls as the bakery chain prepares to open its first international outlet. Greggs, known for its savory and sweet baked goods, is venturing overseas once again after its last international presence in Belgium in 2008.

The exact opening date for the new shop is yet to be confirmed, but it will be located in the airport’s international departures area. The outlet will offer a variety of freshly baked items, including rolls, pastries, and sandwiches. Among the breakfast options will be a Spanish omelette roll paired with freshly squeezed orange juice, providing travelers with a taste of local flavors.

With Tenerife South airport serving approximately 13 million passengers annually, including many travelers to and from the UK, Greggs sees this new location as a convenient and budget-friendly option for visitors. The shop will accommodate up to 92 customers and aims to cater to the diverse needs of airport-goers.

Partnering with Lagardere Travel Retail, a global operator of stores in various transportation hubs worldwide, Greggs is optimistic about the venture. The chief executive of Lagardere Travel Retail Spain and Portugal expressed enthusiasm for introducing the beloved Greggs brand to Tenerife South airport, offering passengers a familiar and comforting choice before their journeys.
