“Teen Arrested in Sainsbury’s Escalator Assaults”

A teenager has been taken into custody in connection with a series of alleged sexual assaults that occurred at a Sainsbury’s superstore. According to Sussex Police, several women reported incidents on an escalator at the store located in Rustington, West Sussex.

Law enforcement confirmed that a 19-year-old male from Littlehampton was apprehended for sexual assault by touching after collaborating with Sainsbury’s security in their investigation. Authorities are urging witnesses and individuals with relevant information to step forward.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police stated, “Following our investigation, in collaboration with Sainsbury’s security, a 19-year-old male from Littlehampton has been arrested for sexual assault by touching.”

Anyone who witnessed the events or who may have been a victim is encouraged to contact the police at 101, referencing serial number 1021 of 02/05.
