A young boy with a vibrant personality tragically passed away after collapsing in his mother’s arms while en route to a walk-in center. Leo Timney-Peers had been unwell all day before his condition suddenly worsened, recounted his mother Keeley Timney. Walking along Parr Street in St Helens, Leo collapsed, prompting Keeley to perform CPR as two bystanders assisted until an ambulance transported Leo to Whiston Hospital.
Despite the collective efforts made, Leo succumbed to his condition later at Whiston Hospital. Keeley fondly remembered her son as a lively and beloved child, always radiating positivity and kindness. A GoFundMe page has been established to support Keeley and her family in covering Leo’s funeral expenses, as they await answers regarding the cause of Leo’s untimely passing.
Expressing her devastation, Keeley emphasized the irreplaceable loss, describing Leo as perfect and undeserving of such a tragedy. She highlighted the immediate assistance received from strangers at the scene and the ongoing quest for understanding the circumstances behind Leo’s sudden collapse.
In memory of Leo, Broad Oak Primary School, where he was a student, closed its doors to honor his memory. Merseyside Police confirmed their response to the incident, detailing that investigations are underway to determine the cause of Leo’s death.
