Google Chrome users are urged to promptly review their settings following the recent issuance of a critical security alert. Google has officially released an essential update addressing 74 vulnerabilities, including a zero-day flaw identified as CVE-2026-11645. This particular vulnerability poses a significant risk as it indicates that cybercriminals are already exploiting it before users can apply a fix.

The tech giant has verified that the CVE-2026-11645 flaw is actively being exploited. However, Google has not disclosed specific technical details or the extent of potential user impact until a significant portion of Chrome users have updated their browsers. Google has rolled out the Stable Channel update to version 149.0.7827.102/.103 for Windows and macOS, and version 149.0.7827.102 for Linux, with a gradual deployment expected in the coming days and weeks. Updating Chrome to the latest version is crucial in safeguarding devices and personal data against this newly identified security threat.
