Donald Trump faced criticism for a series of unconventional late-night social media posts, including sharing an AI-generated image of JD Vance and a photo of Melania Trump. One of the posts depicted Trump, the Vice President, and Marco Rubio topless in the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, set to be dyed blue instead of its traditional granite base.
On his Truth Social platform, Trump shared multiple images of the Reflecting Pool, including one comparing its appearance during Obama’s presidency and an artist’s rendition of the new blue pool. Additionally, Trump posted a picture of Melania Trump looking cheerful after an incident at the White House Correspondents’ dinner.
In another post, Trump targeted Hakeem Jeffries, calling him “low IQ” and a “thug.” A separate image showed Trump’s face photoshopped next to Mount Rushmore, expressing interest in being included alongside past presidents on the monument.
Representative Anna Paulina Luna proposed a bill in 2025 to carve Trump’s figure into Mount Rushmore, but the idea did not progress further. Trump also shared AI-generated images, including one with UNO cards labeled ‘Wild,’ with the caption suggesting he holds all the cards.
US political commentator Harry Sisson remarked on the rapid succession of Trump’s posts, questioning his mental state. This came after Trump posted an image of himself as Jesus Christ performing a healing miracle, later clarifying he thought it portrayed him as a doctor aiding the Red Cross.
Trump dismissed criticism, claiming the portrayal was misrepresented by the media and asserting his belief in his ability to help people.
