“Brixton Shooting: Four Injured in Overnight Incident”

Police responded to reports of gunfire in Brixton early this morning, with armed officers and emergency services swiftly arriving at Coldharbour Lane around 1 am. Four individuals sustained gunshot wounds in the incident, receiving immediate treatment at the scene before being transported to the hospital. Among the injured, a 25-year-old man is currently in critical condition, as per The Express.

Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo, heading the investigation, expressed the gravity of the situation, stating, “We acknowledge the distress this incident may cause the local community and want to assure residents that authorities are diligently working to identify the perpetrators.”

Bhangoo emphasized the indiscriminate nature of the violence and vowed relentless efforts to apprehend the suspects, urging witnesses or individuals with relevant information to come forward. He also mentioned an escalated police presence in the vicinity in the upcoming days for residents’ reassurance and encouraged anyone with concerns to engage with the officers.
