A woman, identified as Annika Sands, engaged in stalking behavior towards Bradley McCreath in the Wirral area of Merseyside, reportedly due to her inability to come to terms with the end of their relationship and his subsequent involvement with a new girlfriend. Sands allegedly pursued McCreath in a gold BMW, displaying what was described as a pattern of persistent and fixated conduct over nearly a year. This conduct led to the couple feeling threatened and eventually fleeing their residences in Cheshire Oaks for their safety.

The situation unfolded after Sands and McCreath met on a dating app in September 2021, initiating a short-lived relationship that lasted only a few weeks. Despite McCreath expressing his disinterest in a long-term commitment, Sands reportedly desired a more substantial connection, leading to the breakup. Following this, Sands’ behavior escalated, prompting McCreath to report her to the authorities in November 2021. Although initial action was not taken, Sands later faced a stalking protection order in January 2022 as a result of complaints from three other individuals she had been involved with briefly.

Allegedly, Sands continued to pursue and intimidate McCreath, even targeting his new partner, Corinne Roberts. The situation intensified when Sands encountered the couple at a local establishment, leading to further distress and discomfort. Subsequent events included Sands’ attempts to connect with Roberts on social media and alleged searches for personal information related to her. These actions culminated in Sands being arrested, with evidence found on her phone suggesting intrusive behavior and potential privacy violations.

In light of these events, Sands admitted to charges of stalking causing serious distress. She received an 18-month suspended imprisonment and restraining orders prohibiting contact with McCreath and Roberts for six years. Additionally, she was instructed to pay court costs and warned against breaching the restraining orders, with potential consequences outlined by the presiding judge.

The impact of Sands’ actions was significant, affecting the victims’ daily lives and prompting significant lifestyle adjustments to avoid further contact. The court emphasized the distress caused by Sands’ conduct and the need for her to abide by legal restrictions to prevent future disruptions.
