Russian newspapers are mocking Donald Trump for his unconventional social media posts, likening him to a “grandpa who doesn’t want to grow up.” The US President is facing challenges at home with escalating prices and a stalemate in the Middle East conflict, while also becoming a target of ridicule from geopolitical rivals.

Trump’s controversial posts on Truth Social, including one where he portrayed himself as Jesus Christ, have become a source of amusement in the Russian press. Previously seen as a strong leader deserving respect, Russian newspapers now take a critical stance towards him.

Moskovsky Komsomolets, a prominent Moscow-based daily with a large readership, recently highlighted Trump’s social media antics, labeling him as a child who boasts of winning even when he is losing. Described as a figure who indulges in fast food, self-praise, and grandiose displays, Trump is portrayed as lacking self-awareness akin to a teenager.

Despite his self-proclaimed dealmaking prowess, Trump has encountered difficulties in negotiations with Iran, failing to sway Tehran from its entrenched positions through tough rhetoric and military threats. The shifting objectives of the US efforts make it challenging to assess progress, with Trump and his advisors asserting victory while aiming for a deal with Iran amid heightened tensions and fragile truces.

Amidst wavering strategies, Trump recently postponed planned military actions against Iran following the advice of Gulf Arab states, citing ongoing negotiations and the potential for a favorable deal that would benefit the US and Middle Eastern nations.
