A mother rushed to the emergency room due to severe pregnancy symptoms was surprised to find out she was not dealing with a cyst but was actually pregnant with quadruplets. April Fields, 25, sought medical help when she experienced intense stomach pains at just eight weeks pregnant. Doctors revealed the unexpected news during a scan, leaving April in disbelief as she saw all four heartbeats on the screen.
Already a parent to three young children with her husband Shawnpail Fields, 24, the couple had not planned for another baby, let alone four. Despite the initial shock, the couple decided to proceed with the high-risk pregnancy despite doctors suggesting reducing the number of babies for better survival chances, a choice they refused.
April eventually gave birth via caesarean in July 2025 to three boys – Artemis, Denahi, and Curtis – and a daughter, Eudora. The premature quadruplets were born healthy but required intensive care. After a hospital stay, the babies were able to come home, expanding the family to a total of nine members.
Managing seven kids under six years old, April expressed the challenges she faces but emphasized her love and contentment with her large family.
