Authorities have initiated an inquiry following the discovery of a deceased woman on a well-known coastal area in the Northern region.
Law enforcement responded to Seaburn Beach in Whitburn shortly after 5 am today after receiving a notification about the finding of the body.
Northumbria Police stated that the circumstances of the woman’s death are currently classified as unexplained, as per a report from Chronicle Live. Efforts are ongoing to formally identify the individual and inform their relatives.
A portion of the beachfront promenade was cordoned off by the police while emergency services attended to the incident. Nevertheless, the restricted area has since been reopened for public access.
