A former stylish lawyer, Kerry Stevens, notorious for alleged dine-and-dash incidents, is flaunting her life abroad despite having four arrest warrants against her in connection to unpaid bills. Stevens, 40, is believed to be residing in the Lorraine region of northwest France with a relative. Previously disbarred, Stevens faced legal action for not settling a £60 bill at a Harvester.
Despite pleas from her family to face the consequences, Stevens, a mother of one, shared photos on her social media enjoying Disneyland Paris, complete with Mickey Mouse accessories. An acquaintance revealed that when police came looking for her, her mother had to inform them of her departure.
Stevens, who has ties to Shoebury and Westcliff in Essex, was charged with multiple counts of leaving without payment and theft from a shop in 2024. She is set for trial next year and refutes all accusations.
Accompanied by Daniel Alani, her alleged accomplice, they were initially under investigation for a dine-and-dash at The Castle Inn in Little Wakering, Essex. The duo left without paying for a variety of items. Landlord Ken Todd mentioned that despite a minimal bill, they attempted to evade payment in peculiar ways.
Stevens and Alani, previously from Southend, were locally identified for their pattern of not paying at restaurants and taxi services. Their escapades included leaving without settling a £127 bill at The Pearl Dragon restaurant in Southend.
Alani admitted guilt to various charges earlier this year. Essex Police issued a fresh appeal for information on Stevens, describing her as around 5ft 2ins tall, with blonde hair, and often sporting large glasses. The plea included contact details for reporting sightings or information.
