A teenage boy sustained severe injuries in a machete assault, prompting a police manhunt for the perpetrators. The incident occurred on Duncan Edwards Close in Dudley, West Midlands, around 2pm on a Saturday afternoon during a violent altercation. Reportedly, two young men on a moped approached the victim and attacked him with a machete before fleeing the scene.
The boy suffered serious wounds to his chest and face and was promptly taken to the hospital for surgery. West Midlands Police launched an investigation, reviewing footage of the assault and seeking information from the public. Detective Inspector Joe Davenport of the Major Crime Unit expressed concern that the victim’s life was at risk and emphasized the urgency of identifying and apprehending those responsible.
West Midlands Police disclosed that the teenage victim is currently in serious but stable condition at the hospital.
