An easyJet flight traveling from Manchester to Copenhagen was forced to divert urgently due to an incident onboard. The flight departed around 7pm as scheduled, but an emergency situation arose roughly 30 minutes into the journey, as reported by Flight Radar data. The Airbus A320, with a capacity of up to 180 passengers, rerouted to Newcastle because a passenger required immediate medical attention, according to the airline.

The aircraft, identified as Flight EZY2237, landed at Newcastle slightly after 8pm, where the passenger received medical assistance upon arrival. An easyJet spokesperson confirmed to Manchester Evening News that “Flight EZY2237 from Manchester to Copenhagen diverted to Newcastle due to a passenger needing urgent medical care. Medical services attended to the passenger, and the flight resumed its course to Copenhagen, prioritizing the safety and well-being of all passengers and crew.”

Following the medical handover, the plane departed Newcastle just before 10:15pm and reached the Danish capital at approximately 12:30am local time the next day.
