A man named Asad Hussain, also known as Ash Hussain, has been convicted for a disturbing case of harassment involving the creation of a fake Tinder profile using his ex-girlfriend’s photos. This deceitful act aimed to entice men to her residence for malicious purposes.

Cheshire Police disclosed that multiple men arrived at the woman’s home in 2024, under the false belief that she had connected with them on Tinder and invited them over. They claimed she had expressed interest in engaging in violent fantasies and indicated that refusal meant she desired it more.

Unbeknownst to the victim, Hussain had orchestrated the scheme by setting up a fabricated profile impersonating her on Tinder, sharing her contact details with at least 18 strangers, and encouraging them to visit her home. Hussain, residing in Heald Green, Stockport, was found guilty of stalking, assault, and failure to comply with a legal notice.

The court learned that Hussain initially met the victim under a fake identity on social media and progressively became controlling in their relationship. He intruded on her personal space, scrutinized her interactions, and confronted her about other men. Upon their breakup, he spread false accusations about her infidelity and attempted to reconcile, all of which she rejected.

Subsequently, men started arriving at the victim’s house, claiming to have been invited by her through Tinder. Some of them received messages suggesting violent acts, leading to disturbing incidents at her property. Despite Hussain’s attempts to conceal his involvement, police managed to trace his actions back to him, leading to his arrest in 2024.

Hussain denied his actions throughout the investigation but was eventually found guilty in court. The police highlighted the severity of his actions, emphasizing the trauma inflicted on the victim and her family. They urged other victims in similar situations to come forward and seek help.

Hussain is awaiting sentencing for his crimes.
