Born Clothing, an Irish fashion retailer, is closing all its stores across Ireland. The brand once had over 20 branches nationwide, including three in Cork at Merchant’s Quay Shopping Centre, Wilton Shopping Centre, and Douglas Village Shopping Centre. These locations were known for offering a variety of brands and occasion wear.

Currently, there are 15 Born Clothing outlets operating in the country, all of which will start their closing-down sale this week with discounts of up to 70%. After 16 years in business, Born Clothing announced its closure on Instagram, expressing gratitude to customers for their support and loyalty.

The retailer also acknowledged its dedicated workforce, thanking them for their commitment to the business. The closing sale, starting on April 23, will feature significant discounts on all products, as provisional liquidators were appointed due to sustained losses over several years.

A statement on the Born Clothing website confirmed the provisional liquidation status, making gift vouchers invalid. Customers who purchase items during the liquidation sale can avail of a 30-day refund or exchange policy with a valid sales receipt. Claims for refunds, returns, or credit notes must be submitted to bornclothing@bdo.ie for further instructions.

The notice emphasized that no gift vouchers, returns of pre-liquidation stock, or credit notes from before the liquidation will be accepted. Customers are advised to contact bornclothing@bdo.ie if the store has closed to inquire about refunds.
