A model scout named Daniel Siad, known for his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, was discovered deceased at his residence near Paris. Siad, aged 69, was found at his home on Monday evening, as confirmed by the Nanterre prosecutor’s office. He had been implicated in assisting Epstein in the trafficking and exploitation of women.
Following the release of declassified Epstein files by the US Department of Justice in late January, Siad faced five rape allegations. His name appeared in over 1,000 documents from the files. An investigation into the cause of Siad’s death was initiated on Monday evening upon the discovery, with an autopsy scheduled as part of the inquiry.
Siad, who had not yet been interviewed by investigators, vehemently denied the accusations and expressed a desire to provide his side of the story. In correspondence with Epstein, Siad likened his recruitment efforts to fishing, stating, “In This busyness I feel like fisherman some time I cache quick, some time no fish.”
In an exchange with Epstein, Siad mentioned having recruited women from various nationalities and expressed disappointment when Epstein did not attend a planned meeting. Siad claimed that Epstein had exploited his trust. Notably, in 2020, French authorities arrested modelling agent Jean-Luc Brunel for allegedly procuring women for Epstein. Brunel was later found deceased at La Sante prison in Paris in 2022.
Jeffrey Epstein, the American billionaire at the center of the scandal, died in a Manhattan jail in 2019 while awaiting trial for sex trafficking.
