A tragic incident unfolded at a residence on Brownmoor Lane in Crosby, Merseyside, where a three-year-old boy named Reuben Reynolds was discovered unconscious in a garden pond. Despite efforts to save him, Reuben passed away at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital the following day.
The circumstances surrounding Reuben’s death are still under investigation, with a post-mortem examination scheduled for the upcoming week. Senior coroner Anita Bhardwaj mentioned that a formal inquest will be arranged pending the results of the post-mortem.
According to evidence presented in court by coroner’s officer Laura Daniels, Reuben was found submerged in the pond on the property on July 18. Reports indicate that Reuben lived at the residence with his mother.
Authorities, including Merseyside Police and North West Ambulance Service, responded to the incident promptly. The police are actively supporting the family and conducting inquiries to ascertain the sequence of events that led to the tragedy.
