A well-known social media influencer and her partner were tragically discovered deceased on the side of a road by a farmer just days before the influencer was scheduled to participate in a local festival.
The bodies of beauty queen Ulissias Marcelli, aged 30, and her boyfriend, Vinícius Souza de Carvalho, aged 28, were found in Porto Seguro, a city in northeastern Brazil, over the weekend. Authorities suspect that the couple may have been abducted and shot, possibly perishing the day before their discovery.
Law enforcement has initiated an investigation to determine if their deaths are connected to an alleged debt associated with criminal drug activities in the region.
Ulissias was set to be a presenter at the upcoming Rock Gaya Festival, scheduled for July 25 in the same area where the couple was found.
The influencer, who had approximately 20,000 followers online, showcased her skills as a fire performer and was known as ‘Miss Tattoo’ for her distinctive gothic style. Tragically, she leaves behind a 13-year-old son.
Online, family and friends mourned the loss of the influencer. Ulissias’s mother expressed her grief, saying, “Rest in peace, my dear ones. Your legacy is eternal. We will deeply miss you – this loss is truly heart-wrenching.”
In a social media statement, the Rock Gaya Festival lamented the sudden passing of Ulissias, who was expected to be a part of their event. They struggled to find words to express the shock of her untimely departure.
Fans of the influencer also shared their condolences online. One follower wrote, “My deepest sympathies to the entire family and her son.”
Another individual expressed, “I am stunned by the news. May she find peace.” A third fan commented, “Devastated by her passing. My prayers go out to her son and her soul.” Authorities have not made any arrests in connection to the incident but continue to investigate.
