A 15-year-old boy facing charges related to sexual offenses against eight girls, one of whom was 10 years old, has made an appearance in court at Wellingborough Youth Court. The allegations include rape and sexual assault against the victims, aged between 10 and 15 at the time of the incidents.
The accused teenager, whose identity is protected due to his age, has been accused of 22 offenses concerning incidents that occurred between 2023 and 2025. During a brief 20-minute hearing, he did not enter any pleas. Accompanied by his mother, he sat at the back of the courtroom and was not required to approach the dock.
The charges against him include multiple counts of sexual assault on females, touching a girl under 13, and raping a girl under 13. Additionally, he is charged with offenses such as penetrating a female over 13, raping a girl aged 13-15, and creating indecent images of a child.
Furthermore, the teenager faces charges of possessing prohibited images of a child and extreme pornographic material. District Judge Amar Mehta deemed the case too severe for the youth court and transferred it to Northampton Crown Court for further proceedings.
The teenager has been instructed to appear at Northampton Crown Court on August 18 and has been granted conditional bail. The bail conditions include restrictions on contacting the alleged victims, unsupervised interactions with females under 16, and participation in the Northamptonshire Youth Justice Service. The boy only spoke to provide his personal details and inquire about the Youth Justice Service during the court session.
