The family of a 24-year-old woman who tragically lost her life in her residence has expressed their heartfelt sentiments for the young mother. Kirandeep Kaur, hailing from India, met with a fatal assault at her domicile in Hayes.
A man has been accused of Kaur’s homicide. Gursharan, Kaur’s sister, conveyed her emotions in a conversation with the BBC through a translator from the Majha region of Punjab, India, stating her sister was her ‘everything’.
Gursharan, aged 21, mentioned that her sister had ventured to London in pursuit of better job opportunities to provide for their family.
To assist with the funeral preparations, a GoFundMe campaign has been initiated.
According to the statement on the GoFundMe page, “Kirandeep Kaur, a 24-year-old student from Punjab, India, came to the UK with aspirations of crafting a brighter future for herself and her distant family.
“The abrupt demise of Kirandeep has left her infant without a mother and her relatives in India overwhelmed by grief and financial obligations incurred to support her future.
“The local community, led by Sri Guru Singh Sabha Southall, is rallying to extend practical and monetary aid during this indescribable period.”
Reportedly, Daniel Sean James, aged 46, allegedly assaulted 24-year-old Kirandeep Kaur at her residence in Hayes, west London, on the morning of July 12, as per The Mirror.
Subsequently, he purportedly leaped out of a window, fracturing both ankles, before being apprehended by the authorities in close vicinity, as disclosed at the Old Bailey.
Before the incident, James supposedly traversed a playground in Hayes clad in all black attire and brandishing a sizable blade.
He was captured on surveillance footage and doorbell cameras approaching multiple residences before allegedly stabbing a man in his twenties from behind on the street, per the allegations.
Shortly after, at approximately 7:51 am, he purportedly forced entry into the residence of Mrs. Kaur, where she resided with her husband and their three-month-old infant, while they were asleep in bed, by kicking the door.
