Police have provided an update on the investigation into the death of a woman in Greater Manchester. Firefighters responded to a fire at Higher Tunshill Farm in Milnrow, Rochdale, on Friday around 12:30 pm. The body of a woman was discovered at the property, leading to the initiation of a murder inquiry by the police.
Initially, a spokesperson from Greater Manchester Police stated that emergency services were alerted to a fire at Higher Tunshill Farm, where the woman’s body was found in the stables. A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of murder but has been released on bail as investigations continue.
In a recent statement, the police clarified that there was no external involvement in the woman’s death. Following thorough investigations into the incident, detectives concluded that the 38-year-old woman’s death was not caused by a third party. The man initially arrested on suspicion of murder has been released without further action.
The case will now be referred to the coroner for further examination, and an inquest will be conducted in the future.
