A tragic incident occurred in Cyprus where a three-year-old boy passed away after falling from a fourth-floor hotel window while playing with his father. The father, a 37-year-old man, was subsequently arrested by the police following the incident on a Sunday evening.
The family had just arrived for a summer holiday and checked into the hotel the previous day. Emergency services responded swiftly, rushing the child to Paphos General Hospital, but despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.
Local authorities were notified of the fall around 6:40 pm on the fateful day. The family, including a five-year-old girl, is said to be devastated by the tragedy. The boy’s father appeared in court the next morning, with police seeking an eight-day remand to aid their investigation.
Cypriot police have initiated an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the heartbreaking event, with a post-mortem examination scheduled for noon on Monday. The area where the incident occurred remains sealed off as authorities conduct their investigation.
