A popular influencer and environmental advocate, Manuel Alejandro Moreno Serna, known as Alex Serna, was tragically discovered deceased in Mexico after receiving menacing death threats instructing him to cease his activities. Serna vanished on June 20 after revealing a video exposing a fruit company. Subsequently, a body showing signs of torture was found inside a blue drum near the Zihuatanejo-Acapulco federal highway in Petatlán on June 22.
The victim, hailing from Zihuatanejo in Guerrero, Mexico, was officially identified by his family days later. The Human Rights Commission of the State of Guerrero (CDHEG) has demanded a thorough investigation into his demise.
