Fan groups estimated that approximately 10,000 England supporters would be in attendance at the game and cautioned about the expected high temperatures during the match. Chris, accompanied by his friend Chris Thomas, 40, and residing in Kansas City, will be joined by fellow Brit Kye Martey and his American wife Sandi for the journey.
Expressing a mix of excitement and apprehension, Chris emphasized his hope for a strong performance from the England team. George Smith, a finance worker and Exeter City fan now residing in San Diego, California, was also gearing up to attend the England group matches. Accompanied by his son Charlie, 11, George planned to watch the games alongside fans from various other countries.
