“Car crashes into Cheshire nursery playground”

A toddler was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries when a vehicle crashed into a playground at a nursery in Cheshire. The incident occurred in Ellesmere Port, where two other children sustained minor injuries. Authorities, including the police, fire service, and ambulance service, responded to the scene.

A 63-year-old woman has been apprehended on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. The collision happened just before 10 a.m. on Monday, June 15, on Vale Road in the Whitby area of the town. Cheshire Constabulary reported that a car breached a fence and entered the nursery’s playground area.

The police stated, “A two-year-old boy suffered what are believed to be serious injuries and has been transported to the hospital for further medical care. The child’s family has been informed. Two other children sustained minor injuries in the incident.”
