“Trump asserts authority over US-Israel-Iran relations”

US President Donald Trump has stated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will need to accept any agreement made by the US with Iran. Trump emphasized his authority, asserting that he holds all decision-making power in this matter. This declaration follows Iran’s recent ballistic missile launch on Israel, which violated the existing ceasefire agreement.

In response to Iran’s actions, the US and Israel conducted joint strikes on key Iranian targets, leading to retaliatory measures from Iran, including the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Although a temporary ceasefire was brokered in April, long-term peace negotiations between the US and Iran have encountered obstacles, according to reports from the Express.

Trump indicated that he would direct Netanyahu to refrain from retaliating against Iran, emphasizing that such aggression would not deter his efforts to finalize a deal with Iran. He expressed confidence that the agreement would proceed despite the recent attacks on Israel, suggesting that potential failure of the deal might prompt a commando raid on Iran or the continuation of a blockade on the country.

The President’s remarks regarding Netanyahu came to light following a contentious phone call between the two leaders, during which Trump reportedly criticized Netanyahu’s actions and asserted his role in supporting Israel. This development underscores the complex dynamics at play in the US-Israel-Iran relationship.
