“Sydney Shooting Leaves One Dead, Four Injured”

A tragic shooting incident in Sydney, Australia, has resulted in the death of one man and left four others seriously injured. The police responded to reports of two men, aged 28 and 32, arriving at Liverpool hospital with multiple gunshot wounds on May 19 around 8:30 pm.

Despite medical intervention, the 28-year-old victim succumbed to his injuries shortly after. The deceased individual has not been formally identified yet. The 32-year-old man is currently hospitalized in serious but stable condition with a neck injury.

Shortly after, two additional men, aged 23 and 22, arrived at Fairfield Hospital around 8:40 pm in serious conditions. The 23-year-old is receiving treatment for a gunshot wound to the neck, while the 22-year-old is being treated for a shoulder injury. Both individuals have been transferred to different medical facilities for further care.

At 9:50 pm, a 19-year-old man presented himself at Liverpool Hospital with arm injuries and is reported to be in stable condition. The police have secured a crime scene at a residence on Arbutus Street, Canley Heights, where it is believed the shootings occurred earlier that night.

An investigation led by officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command, with support from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
