A woman allegedly killed her husband by decapitating him and feeding his genitals to their dogs after enduring years of domestic abuse. The incident reportedly occurred when Maria, a 48-year-old Ukrainian woman, discovered her partner Oleksandr returning home late at night from work. Eyewitnesses claim she strangled him with her hands, leading to a bloody scene.
Authorities confirmed that Maria had been a victim of prolonged physical abuse by her husband. She informed the police that she had been suffering from domestic violence for a long time and saw murdering him as her only escape from the situation.
Maria is accused of strangling her husband and then decapitating him with an axe, followed by using a knife to sever his genitals, which she allegedly fed to her dogs. She also allegedly attempted to dismember his body before being found covered in blood on the street.
A neighbor who encountered Maria after the incident described her as being in a bloody state, confessing to the killing with her husband’s head in a sack. The neighbor alerted others, leading to Maria’s arrest by the police.
Police spokesperson Vadim Artiukhovich confirmed that Maria confessed to the murder at the scene and was subsequently charged and taken into custody. He mentioned that Maria cited constant physical and emotional abuse as the reason for her actions, claiming she had no other way to end her suffering.
Despite the circumstances, Maria’s son Viktor Fesianov expressed his inability to forgive his mother for what she had done. If convicted, Maria could face a maximum sentence of up to 15 years in prison.
