IKEA, the well-known furniture retailer, has announced a recall of a commonly used household product due to safety concerns. The recall involves the IKEA 365+ VÄRDEFULL Garlic press in black, as it was discovered that small metal pieces could detach from the tool while in use, posing a risk of ingestion. Customers worldwide who purchased garlic presses with article number 601.636.02 and date stamps ranging from 2411 to 2522 are advised to stop using the product immediately.

Affected customers are encouraged to contact IKEA for a full refund without the need for a receipt. Additionally, those who may have given or loaned the product to others are urged to inform them of the recall. IKEA, known for its flat-pack furniture and Allen keys, apologized for any inconvenience caused and highlighted other recent product recalls.

IKEA date stamps follow a Year-Week format, with 2411 indicating 2024, week 11. For more details on the recalls or if you have any concerns, visit the IKEA website for further information.
