Paramedics rushed to a swimming pool at a leisure center in Hyde this afternoon after a child was taken to the hospital. Emergency crews responded to Hyde Leisure Pool on Walker Lane, in Hyde, Greater Manchester, today (Sunday, May 3) for a child-related incident. Witnesses reported the pool being evacuated as medical personnel arrived to assist. Reports suggested that a child had encountered difficulties in the water, prompting the emergency call.
One observer mentioned seeing ambulance crews performing CPR at the location. The child was reportedly conscious when transported to the hospital for further evaluation following the water rescue. Inquiries have been made to the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) for additional details. Active Tameside, the organization managing the leisure facility, has also been contacted for a statement.
