Wren Kitchens has made a sudden decision to close all 15 of its stores following its recent declaration of bankruptcy liquidation. This move has resulted in all employees at these locations losing their jobs as the British company exits the US market.

The prominent kitchen retailer in the UK has shut down its East Coast US showrooms and Wren Kitchen Studios within Home Depot stores. These closures come after the company filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy liquidation on April 24 in the US.

According to a statement from Home Depot to WFSB-TV, Wren Kitchens has ceased operations in the United States, including shutting down showrooms in their stores. Home Depot expressed surprise at the sudden closure and is working to assist affected customers with any inquiries.

A message on the Wren website confirms the closure of showrooms and studios, urging customers needing assistance to complete a provided form. The family-owned business, operating as Wren US Holdings Inc., filed for bankruptcy in the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, disclosing assets ranging from $100 million to $500 million.

Reports indicate that staff at the affected outlets were not given prior notice before being laid off. This unexpected development has left many customers unsure about the status of their payments to Wren, with some facing challenges regarding fully paid kitchen orders.

As of early 2026, Wren Kitchens operated over 110 showrooms across the UK, with plans for further expansion in various towns and cities. The Mirror has reached out to Wren Kitchens for a response.
