The mother of social media influencer Klaudia Zakrzewska has shared heartfelt words about her daughter, who tragically passed away six days after being hit by a car outside a nightclub in central London. Klaudia, hailing from Essex, was involved in the accident on Argyll Street in Soho at 4:30 am on April 19. The 32-year-old, also known as Klaudiaglam, was quickly taken to the hospital but sadly succumbed to her injuries on Saturday.
Gabrielle Carrington, a 29-year-old former X Factor contestant, had previously faced charges of attempted murder in court. The Metropolitan Police announced that the charge would be upgraded to murder in light of Klaudia’s death.
A crowdfunding campaign was initiated by Kinga, Klaudia’s mother, last week, stating that her daughter was in a coma and fighting for her life. In a recent update, Kinga expressed, “My precious daughter has passed away and now rests peacefully among the angels. She brought immense love, joy, and light into our lives, and that light will never dim.”
She further added, “As we navigate this profound loss, I am dedicated to providing my beautiful angel with a farewell that honors her with love, dignity, and grace that mirrors her essence.”
Kinga mentioned that the funds raised would be utilized for Klaudia’s funeral arrangements to ensure she receives a meaningful and special send-off. Part of the donations will also support legal expenses in seeking justice for her and preserving her memory.
Appreciating the outpouring of love and support during this challenging period, Klaudia’s mother acknowledged the community’s generosity. The fundraiser has garnered over £26,000 at the time of reporting.
Apart from the murder charge, Carrington, residing on Broadfield Road in Manchester, faces multiple allegations including dangerous driving, drink driving, grievous bodily harm with intent, and actual bodily harm. Another individual, a 58-year-old man, sustained serious injuries in the incident, while a third woman suffered a minor wrist injury.
Carrington, a former member of the group Miss Dynamix that competed in the X Factor live finals in 2013, now boasts a substantial following of over 365,000 on Instagram under the username RIELLEUK. She refrained from entering any pleas during a recent court appearance and is scheduled to appear at the Old Bailey on May 19.
