A father experienced a moment of overwhelm during the birth of his second child, captured on camera as he fainted in the delivery room while his newborn baby was delivered via C-section.
Maicon Pedroso collapsed at a hospital in Criciúma, Brazil, as he witnessed his wife, Mariane Felippe, giving birth to their second daughter through a C-section on April 18. A medical attendant in scrubs had to support Maicon as he lost consciousness while holding Ms. Felippe’s hand when their daughter was born.
After fainting, Maicon was gently placed on the floor and regained consciousness shortly afterward with no memory of the birth. He shared that he had no recollection of the moment his child was born, as he and his wife had rushed to the hospital in the early hours of the morning when her water broke, leading to the decision for a C-section.
