A striking new image captures President Donald Trump observing the aftermath of the recent shooting incident at the White House, alongside his Cabinet members. Following the attack, Trump urged people to come together peacefully to resolve differences.

Official White House photographer Daniel Torok posted the photograph on his Instagram account. The shooting occurred during the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner at the Washington Hilton hotel on Saturday evening. The suspect, identified as 31-year-old Cole Allen, breached security and opened fire, prompting Melania Trump and Vice President JD Vance to be swiftly escorted to safety.

Despite one officer being shot, their bulletproof vest shielded them from harm. The photo released on social media depicts Trump reviewing CCTV footage of the incident in the Oval Office later that night, with Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio gathered around a phone to watch the security footage replay.

In response to the events, Trump called on Americans to unite peacefully. The suspect, armed with a shotgun, a handgun, and knives, was apprehended before reaching the ballroom where Trump was expected to address the audience. Trump commended law enforcement for their swift response and reassured the public of his safety during the incident.

Video footage shared later showed the suspect bypassing security measures as chaos unfolded in the ballroom, with guests seeking cover under tables. Trump was quickly escorted off stage, while Vice President JD Vance was hurried to safety by security personnel.
