A vibrant 17-year-old girl known as Summer tragically passed away in a car accident. Derbyshire police reported that Summer was a passenger in a Vauxhall Corsa that veered off the road and struck a tree late on Sunday night.
Summer lost her life at the scene on Sutton Lane, Sutton Scarsdale. The 19-year-old male driver was taken into custody on suspicion of causing death and serious injury by dangerous driving.
Summer’s mother shared a heartfelt tribute, describing her as lively, talkative, and ambitious. Summer had recently started working at McDonald’s and was studying construction at college, with a keen interest in carpentry.
Known for her playful nature, Summer enjoyed getting piercings and planned to get her first tattoo upon turning 18 in October. She cherished moments spent dining out, hanging out with friends, and caring for her pets, particularly her horses, which she shared as a hobby with her mother.
Described by her father as always smiling and bringing joy to every room, Summer loved baking, cooking, making Youtube videos, and engaging in household chores. Her grandfather affectionately called her Twinkle for brightening his days. Her family expressed immense pride in Summer, highlighting her radiant personality and the void her passing has left in their lives and those who knew her.
