If you’re considering starting a new life in a different country and lack the necessary funds, there are various countries that provide financial incentives to encourage relocation. These incentives are part of initiatives aimed at revitalizing communities or repurposing vacant properties. However, these offers usually come with specific requirements, such as a commitment to reside in the designated location for a set period.

On social media, Emotionally Perfect highlighted several relocation deals on Instagram. Some countries offer direct payments to individuals who move there, while others provide different types of financial benefits. For instance, the remote island of Antikythera offers a remarkable deal – a complimentary house and a monthly stipend of £433 to newcomers. Families relocating to the island receive €500 per month for three years to help boost the local community.

The program on Antikythera is particularly targeted at families with children, with priority given to professionals like craftsmen, farmers, bakers, fishermen, and construction workers. Similarly, the village of Albinen in Switzerland offers £18,800 to families moving there, along with an additional £9,400 per child. To qualify for this offer, individuals must be under 45 years old and commit to residing in Albinen for a minimum of 10 years. Additionally, the property they purchase must exceed the value of 200,000 Swiss Francs.

In Ireland, the government provides grants up to £72,800 to purchase and renovate homes, with higher amounts available for properties on off-shore islands. The properties must have been vacant for at least two years and be constructed before 2008. Recipients are required to live in the homes themselves or rent them out. If the property is sold within a decade or rented out against the initial agreement, the grant must be repaid.

Various rural regions in Spain offer grants or monthly allowances to attract new residents. For example, those relocating to the Ambroz region can receive grants equivalent to nearly £13,000 (€15,000) by committing to a two-year residence. The village of Rubia in Spain offers monthly payments ranging from £86 to £130 (€100-€150) for new residents, along with additional incentives.

Chile offers equity-free grants of up to £74,000 to tech-based start-ups willing to establish themselves in the country, aiming to attract international investments. Participants receive mentoring, networking opportunities, and office space support, along with a two-year work visa.

Italy provides an opportunity to purchase abandoned or dilapidated homes in select regions for as little as €1, with the requirement to renovate the properties within three years. Buyers must use the houses as primary residences and adhere to specific regulations for each area. Japan offers families approximately £4,600 per child to relocate to rural areas outside Tokyo, with the condition that at least one family member must work in the new locality or start a business there.

In a bid to rejuvenate declining towns, Italy offers the chance to buy abandoned homes for €1, but buyers must renovate the properties within three years and adhere to usage guidelines. Japan provides financial incentives to families relocating to rural areas, with at least one family member required to work locally or start a business there. Those leaving before five years must repay the relocation funds.
