A young male cyclist tragically lost his life in a collision in Co Waterford, according to authorities.
The incident occurred in Ballygalane, Lismore, after 11 am on Tuesday, involving a stationary lorry.
Police are seeking witnesses to the incident, where the cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The coroner has been informed, and a post-mortem examination is scheduled at University Hospital Waterford.
Fortunately, the male lorry driver emerged unharmed from the collision.
The road was temporarily sealed off for investigation by Garda forensic collision experts but has since been reopened.
