“Two Injured in Light Aircraft Crash Near Northampton”

Two individuals were swiftly transported to a medical facility following a plane crash in a field near Pitsford. The incident involving a light aircraft occurred close to Northampton around 3:50 pm, prompting a response from law enforcement and fire teams.

The Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service took action by shutting down nearby roads to facilitate the arrival of emergency services and the evacuation of two individuals from the aircraft. Subsequently, the patients were handed over to paramedics and then transferred to University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire for further medical attention.

Former local council member James Hill recounted that his children observed the plane performing maneuvers and struggling before the crash. He mentioned that the aircraft seemed unstable and eventually went down.

Northamptonshire Police confirmed the initiation of an investigation into the crash, stating that they were alerted to a light aircraft incident near Pitsford. The authorities mentioned that two individuals had been hospitalized for treatment, and a comprehensive inquiry was underway with the involvement of the Air Accidents Investigation Branch.

A statement released by the Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service earlier detailed their immediate response to reports of the aircraft’s crash, including road closures to facilitate emergency vehicle access. The fire service continued to support the police and ambulance services at the scene.

A representative from the Air Accidents Investigation Branch disclosed that they were informed of the aircraft accident near Brixworth, Northamptonshire. An investigation has been launched to ascertain the circumstances leading to the unfortunate incident.
