Authorities have apprehended three young males following an incident where approximately 200 youths disrupted operations at Bluewater Shopping Centre.

Law enforcement swiftly responded to the situation at the shopping center in Kent, directing a large group to vacate the premises due to disruptive conduct in the food court.

Two 16-year-old boys from London were taken into custody on suspicion of causing a public nuisance, while another 16-year-old from London was detained for alleged common assault. The individuals are currently being investigated by the Kent Police.

Following the incident that occurred at 3pm on Monday, Kent Police implemented a dispersal order, granting officers the authority to clear the area within two hours.

Authorities have cautioned students commencing their summer break to refrain from engaging in such activities, emphasizing the consequences of acquiring a criminal record for the sake of amusement.

Dispersal orders empower law enforcement officers to remove individuals causing disturbances in specific locations, allowing for potential arrests of those who return after being dispersed.

Chief Inspector Sarah Rivett of Dartford stated that despite the incident potentially being an isolated occurrence due to exam completion, law enforcement is prepared to address any antisocial behavior in the future.

“As we approach summer and the start of school holidays, we are actively addressing disruptive behaviors,” said Chief Inspector Sarah Rivett.

“We are committed to enforcing the law on individuals who disrupt our communities, as demonstrated recently. We urge individuals to consider the repercussions of their actions and avoid unnecessary criminal records,” Chief Inspector Sarah Rivett added.

Bluewater, a prominent retail and leisure destination in the UK, boasts over 300 stores, 50 dining establishments, and ample parking with 13,000 spaces since its establishment in 1999.
