Three teenagers have been hospitalized following a collision involving a car and a group of individuals in the town center of Skerries, located in the northern part of County Dublin, Ireland. The incident occurred on Saturday evening during a disturbance, with witnesses observing the events unfold on Harbour Road around 9:30 pm, according to Gardaí.
Video footage indicates that prior to the crash, there were altercations between rival teenage groups in close vicinity. The footage shows a group of youths running towards a white BMW parked on Harbour Road, with one of its rear doors open. The car is then observed reversing rapidly for approximately 20 feet before abruptly stopping, as reported by DublinLive. Subsequently, the driver accelerated forward, striking a group of teenagers standing at the roadside.
One individual was seen being thrown into the air upon impact before the car quickly fled the scene. A spokesperson from the Garda confirmed that two girls and one boy sustained injuries in the incident and were transported to the hospital for treatment.
The Garda spokeswoman stated, “Gardaí in Skerries were alerted to a disturbance at Harbour Road, Skerries on the evening of Saturday, July 18, 2026. At around 9:30 pm, a large group of youths gathered, leading to a physical altercation. During the altercation, a vehicle drove towards a number of individuals.”
“The three teenagers (two females and one male) were admitted to Beaumont Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Investigations are currently ongoing, and no arrests have been made at this point.”
