Two individuals were stabbed, and a woman was assaulted in a Tesco parking lot by a group of men on electric bikes and a quad bike in Billingham, County Durham. The incident occurred around 9:35 pm on Monday night, prompting emergency services to respond to Leeholme Road.
The group targeted a black Hyundai Tuscan in the parking lot, with the quad bike causing damage to the vehicle. Subsequently, the assailants pulled the victims out of the car and physically attacked them. The woman driving the Hyundai was punched in the face, while two men were forcibly removed from the rear of the vehicle and assaulted.
The two injured men were taken to the hospital with stab wounds but are in stable condition. Fortunately, a fourth man in the car was unharmed during the altercation. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident and are seeking witnesses or any available footage for further information.
Following the attack, a perimeter was set up in the parking lot, but it was dismantled by 7 am the next morning, and the store resumed normal operations. Cleveland Police issued a statement urging anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
