Charlotte Mulhall, a convicted murderer known as the ‘Scissor Sister,’ is set to be released on temporary parole after serving over 20 years in prison. Mulhall was sentenced for the killing of her mother’s Kenyan lover, Farah Swaleh Noor, in a violent incident back in March 2005. The crime, which involved slitting Noor’s throat with a blade, occurred while Mulhall and her sister Linda were under the influence of ecstasy.

Mulhall’s release on temporary parole involves periodic half or full-day releases as she transitions back into society. Following the killing, the sisters dismembered Noor’s body using a bread knife and disposed of his remains in a suitcase in the Royal Canal. Despite efforts to hide the evidence, Noor’s head remains missing to this day.

Reportedly, Mulhall has shown deep remorse for her actions and aims to make a fresh start upon release. She has maintained good behavior during her time at Limerick Prison and is now under the supervision of the Independent Probation Board as she prepares for life outside prison.

In a similar vein, Linda Mulhall, who also played a role in the crime, completed a 15-year sentence for manslaughter and has since stayed out of trouble. The whereabouts of Charlotte Mulhall’s future residence upon release remain uncertain, with restrictions on leaving the UK without special permission due to her parole status.

The parole conditions for Mulhall include constant monitoring by the Independent Parole Board to ensure compliance. Support from the Probation Service will assist her in reintegrating into society, with a focus on finding employment and stable accommodation. Any violation of the terms of her release could result in immediate return to prison.

Mulhall is expected to be fully released by the end of the summer, marking a significant transition as she endeavors to leave her troubled past behind and embark on a new chapter in her life.
